Banyak yang bilang jadi laki-laki itu gampang, tinggal jalanin apa yang abang gua, babe gua atau seumurannya lakuin aja... Yah, silahkan juga... Tapi buat saya laki-laki itu sarat pembuktian. Pembuktian kepada keluarga, pacar, isteri, teman, hingga komunitasnya bahwa seorang laki-laki harus berani, kuat, mandiri, sehat, cerdas, yakin, bisa mimpin, bijak, adil, tegas berkeputusan, ksatria, setia dan mungkin jujur hehehe...

Dari semuanya, tiap laki-laki bergerak berdasarkan latarbelakangnya masing-masing. Ada yang karena latar belakangnya baik-baik saja sehingga tidak perlu berdiri di atas kaki sendiri, maka pembuktian mandiri jadi yang terakhir. Ada yang berlatarbelakang keras, maka dia tertempa untuk menjadi pemimpin atau bahkan... penakut.

Jujur, karena latar belakang ini banyak juga yang sebenernya ngga mikirin amat teori pembuktian ini. Buat orang yang kehidupannya lebih dari cukup misalnya, satu-satunya pembuktian dia cuma to’ol-nya masih bisa berdiri, jadi secara laki-laki dia masih berfungsi, dunia kiamat kalo ternyata fungsinya ilang, dan kalo udah gini lantas secara mandiri (jalan-jalan sendiri biar gak ketauan maksudnya) cari usaha untuk ngebenerin atau bahkan lebih.. hehehe.

Nah, setiap kriteria pembuktian di atas silahkan di mix & match dengan latar belakang masing-masing. Yang pasti, cepat atau lambat, seorang laki-laki akan memimpin, harus bijak, harus adil, dstnya dan yang menilai tentunya orang luar. Tempaan terberat adalah momen dimana itu semua akan di uji. Can you? Will you?

Padahal pada intinya gak ada yang sempurna... Well, Do you respect on how they become a man, or how they behave as a man? Either way, being a man is a shity job, but someone’s gotta do it hehehe...

I’m sure you have your own favourite song. The song of a lifetime hehehe Well, mine is “Out of This World” of The Cure… For one simple reason, it’s stopped me from committing suicide hehehe… Yah, you know… have you ever been a teenage who’d thought you did all the things in life and felt like there’s nothing else that needs to be done. Just as you thought of that, you’re life getting slower. That’s because you knew that whatever you do, you’ll end up dead. Yes, eventually we all gonna die. It’s either do life harshly or enjoy it slowly. I choose the last one.

Since then I put a list of dreams. It is dreams that keep me alive. Silly maybe, but that’s what it is…. So when I heard The Cure is about to held a concert in Singapore I don’t need any other reasons. I like the band since I was high school. I like the song and the lyrics. I collect some of their album. It would be a total moronic, absurd, idiot, if I’m not going. I will feel bad about myself for the rest of my life. Only, 2 weeks before it happened… I got sick, some short of bacteria messing with my metabolism that I need to stay at the hospital. But God let me go to see Robert and his gang right a day before the concert. So I went. And hell yeah it was worth it. Even if I have to sit all the time but it such a fair terms that I have to commit.

You know what? It was dream that got me going. And somewhere between the concerts, I can see him looked at me and smiled, and probably said things like, “Will we really remember how it feels to be this alive?”
